Here is Part 2,  just for you, of  Getting More Energy During Menopause.  Having enough energy throughout the day is so important so that you can do your best with all you need to do.  Menopause can be a challenging time for some of you.  Most of us don’t have the option of taking an energy nap during the weekdays.

Here are some more ideas for you to get more energy naturally!

Eat Eggs for breakfast-

When you make a point to have a good breakfast including protein such as eggs, you will feel more energized and be satisfied. Protein makes you feel full but not overstuffed.  It provides you with a consistent stream of energy for your body.

Some “experts” believe the egg is the perfect food.

If you have noticed when you eat something like a bagel for breakfast (all carbohydrates), you will get a quick high and then your blood sugar drops fiercely.

Get a Massage –

Are your muscles tight?  It is amazing how a massage can loosen up those tight muscles and how much more relaxed you will feel. When you are more relaxed, it means you will be happier and more productive in all areas of your life. If you don’t know of  a massage therapist, you can go to one of the places like Massage Envy and they will give you someone for your needs.

If you work in an office, you can always do a quick trade with a friend such as a shoulder rub for each other in the afternoon when most people get that energy drop a couple of hours after lunch.

Watch Your Alcohol Intake –

Even though you may think alcohol helps you relax and sleep better, it actually prohibits your body from going into a deep sleep. If you sleep the same amount of hours, you still won’t feel as rested as if you did not drink any alcohol. Drinking alcohol upsets the hormonal system in your body among other things.

Take a Walk – Get Your Body Moving –

Being outside and getting sunshine and  is great for your body. The fresh air, a change of scenery from inside your house or office can do wonders to help you feel better mentally and feel more motivated. Take a walk – get your body moving – get some circulation in the body. You will feel so much better after you do!

Would You Like To Get More Energy Naturally?

What you see in the picture is not what is considered good snacks.  Instead try Greek Yogurt!

Eat Yogurt –

Greek Yogurt, plain with live cultures is good for you. You can add berries and/or granola to it.  It helps keep your digestive system clean, which helps your body absorb all the nutrients from the food you eat, keeping you healthier and more energetic.  It is a great snack for you.  Try the Fage brand of Greek Yogurt.  It is like eating whipped cream to me.

Be sure to buy the plain, without sugar or you will be defeating the purpose.

Try Yoga –

You can record yoga if you have the equipment, sign up for a class, use a DVD of yoga, etc.  There are lots of choices to be able to reap the benefits, no matter how stiff you feel.  The beauty of it is that you can start from where you are.  There is no competition, just benefits!

Yoga has so many healthy benefits including:

  • promotes better sleep
  • reduces stress and tension in your body by focusing on your breathing
  • use slow, controlled stretching movements
  • feeling more relaxed
  • helping you to be more mentally sharp
  • massages the internal organs

Tip-Toe Stretch –

To stimulate your circulatory system, step on your tip-toes and roll up and down on your toes.  By doing this, you receive the needed oxygen and glucose throughout your body.  The glucose is like fuel to your body.  This helps you feel sharper and is a way to get more energy naturally.

Besides, who doesn’t need more oxygen?
