Get rid of water weight -  there are many causes of fluid retention that may not be healed by eating the right foods (causing you to urinate.)  It is not something that is simple to treat.

If you try the suggestions we are giving you and it doesn't work, seek a nutritionist or holistic health practitioner to get help.

Two things that can be checked first, are to see if your hormone levels are "normal" and (unless your doctor says not to because of kidney failure), drink plenty of water everyday -even if you are bloated.

Some foods can make you retain fluid by slowing down your kidneys, while others can help your kidneys work better.  Here are some things to be aware of not doing:

AVOID the following:

  •  table salt (for severe fluid retention use only potassium chloride)

  • sugary foods and drinks

  •  too much protein OR not enough protein

  •  unhealthy fats

  •  being still for long periods of time

  •  crossing your legs

  •  tight clothing

  •  alcohol

  •  smoke

  •  coffee

  •  black tea

  •  processed foods

  •  fast foods

  •  white flour foods

Avoid constipation by eating foods high in dietary fiber such as:

  •  oats

  •  beans

  •  wholemeal or sprouted bread

  •  whole grain brown rice

This will help you to make positive changes to your diet and to eat healthier, which will help this condition.
