Menopause symptoms are varied in length and severity with each person.  The typical menopausal (or perimenopausal) symptoms are:

Hot flashes
Night sweats
Memory lapse
Vaginal dryness
Weight gain
Low sex drive if any (loss of libido)
Mood swings, tears and crying suddenly
Incontinence when laughing or sneezing
Loss of hair or thinning on the head - may have increased facial hair

There are also some menopause symptoms (or perimenopause symptoms) that are not so common for most women.  These are:

 A loss of balance, dizziness or feeling light-headed
Itchy skin
Tingling extremities
Breast pain or soreness in one or both
Anxiety, feeling of doom, worry
Fingernails that crack or break easily
Heartbeat increases
Gum issues - bleeding
